It can be frustrating when it is the middle of the night and you have a newborn that is not breastfeeding well. Even though a mother might know the benefits of breastfeeding she might be tempted to give formula in these moments. Some women may experience times when they think about quitting breastfeeding. But remember, most problems with breastfeeding can be fixed with the right information and help. It is not always easy, but the benefits are worth it! We realize that when you need answers for breastfeeding you might need them now! When it is the middle of the night and you have problems, waiting until tomorrow might seem too long! Because of this we want to provide as much information about breastfeeding as possible on this website. That way you can hopefully find answers to your questions when you need it. Breastfeeding Help at the Utah County WIC Clinic

Utah County WIC makes breastfeeding a top priority. We realize the importance breastfeeding plays in the health of both mother and baby. Besides the breastfeeding information you find on this website you can also contact your WIC clinic for breastfeeding help.

If you are a participant with Utah County WIC you can call our Breastfeeding Warmline at 801-851-7312 for breastfeeding help. A Lactation Specialist or Breastfeeding Peer Counselor will be able to talk with you by phone or in the clinic.

Utah County WIC can provide its participants with the following breastfeeding services and help:

  • Breastfeeding classes and support groups.
  • Talking about breastfeeding to a WIC employee during an appointment.
  • Telephone help by a Lactation Specialist or Breastfeeding Peer Counselor. Call the Utah County WIC Breastfeeding Warmline, 801-851-7312.
  • One-on-one breastfeeding help at the clinic. Please call for an appointment, 801-851-7312.
  • Free hand breast pump to breastfeeding mothers.
  • Free use of an electric breast pump, upon qualification.
  • Free use of a pedal breast pump, upon qualification.
  • Free breast shells or other breastfeeding aids, as needed by participant.
