The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends an annual flu vaccine for everyone ages 6 months and older as the first and best way to protect against influenza.
Inactivated vaccine, trivalent (3 strain)
"Live" vaccine given in nose. Trivalent (3 strain). Cannot be given to individuals with certain conditions such as asthma or pregnancy.
Injectable for adults or children.
Ages of 18 and 64 years. Preservative free.
Trivalent for individuals 65 years and older.
