PROGRAMS AND SERVICESThe library's primary service is circulating popular reading materials on the bookmobile unit. Staff rely on inter-library loan services to meet patron needs for books not available locally. The bookmobile delivers materials to the blind and handicapped at no charge. The bookmobile answers the local need for mobile service and mail services. The library offers a weekly story-time for 15. The Friends of the Library run a summer reading program, with each session devoted to a story topic (such as "birds") and a related craft (such as "hawk masks"). The first and second grade decorate the wall in the children's area. The library also houses a Family Literacy Program that serves 20 or more students. In spring and fall, the Friends of the Library hold book sales to raise funds. |
