Free workshop available through UCHD

Stepping On is a free workshop being offered by the Utah County Health Department (UCHD). The class is aimed at helping people age sixty and over reduce their risk of falling. The workshop is not just for people who have fallen, but for people who fear falling. Participants will leave with more strength, better balance, and a feeling of confidence and independence. Research conducted by Dr. Lindy Clemson (Journal of the American Geriatrics Society, September 2004) has shown that people who complete the workshop have a 31% reduced rate of falls. The class will meet two hours, once a week, for seven weeks in American Fork and Lehi during January and February. Please contact Carrie Bennett at 801-851-7035 to enroll.
