(November 6, 1pm) -- The Utah County Health Department has implemented a reservation ticket process to receive H1N1 vaccine. Adults can get up to six tickets for immediate family members Monday, November 9th at 8am. Vaccine reservation tickets will be distributed at the Utah County Health and Justice Department at 151 S. Vaccinations will continue to be given only at the Health and Justice Building in Provo.

tickets given in Provo & Saratoga. Vaccine in Provo only.’

Everyone seeking vaccination needs to have a ticket, and needs to report at the time and day indicated.

We are still asking that only individuals in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's priority groups seek vaccination at this time. These groups include:
  • Pregnant women
  • People who live with or care for children younger than 6 months of age
  • Health care or emergency medical personnel with patient contact
  • Children age 6 months to young adults 24 years of age
  • Persons 64 years of age and under with chronic medical conditions associated with higher risk of medical problems from influenza

If you do not belong to one of these priority groups, please be assured we will have enough vaccine for everyone at a later date. We wish to vaccinate those at highest risk first. Please check back at 801-851-2222, check our web site at www.UtahCountyHealth.org , or call United Way’s 2-1-1 information line for vaccine availability updates.

Children that have received one dose of the H1N1 vaccine should receive a second dose -- or "booster" -- at least 28 days after the first vaccination. Although it should be given as soon as possible, the booster can be given as much as a couple of months later if vaccine isn't available. The Utah County Health Department (UCHD) will administer these booster vaccinations with the other H1N1 vaccinations in our clinic. At this time, a separate clinic will not be held, but parent's should get a reservation ticket for children when they are available.
