IN THIS DEPARTMENT . . . Utah County, with a population of 368,536 in 2000, is the second largest county in the State of Utah. During the period 1990 to 2000, Utah County grew an astonishing 39.3 percent. This was substantially more than the growth of the other Wasatch front counties or of the entire state. The Utah County Assessor's office is responsible for valuing over 126,000 real property parcels with their improvements, the equipment of over 18,000 businesses, and for tracking the assessment by the State Tax Commission of over 412,000 vehicles. Our mission is to provide professional and courteous service to the property owners of the county while utilizing available technologies to make the assessments equitable and fair.		WHAT'S NEW . . .
