CRITERIA FOR REQUESTING A REFUND
MUST INCLUDE:
- An indemnity clause/statement:
“ABC Mortgage Lending Services” agrees to be personally liable and will hold harmless and indemnify the Utah County Treasurer and the County of Utah for any and all claims and damages arising out of such disbursement of funds.
- The property serial number having been paid incorrectly. If requested by a mortgage lending institution, please provide your customers serial number and loan number.
- The year of the overpay (doublepay) and the specific dollar amount paid in error. (An overpayment or doublepayment must exist for the year requested.)
- The names of the parties involved ie: recorded property owner, parties having made payment(s) etc.
- Name and mailing address to appear on refund check.
- Contact name and phone number of party requesting refund.
Information which may help clarify and expedite this refund can be included in your letter. Proof of ALL payments will help to expedite refund.
