Emergency Services
The Emergency Services Division has a well trained work force in sworn personnel, civilians and volunteers. These individuals must have a good work ethic, a willingness to sacrifice attitude, and the most up to date equipment and technology, allowing them to keep ahead of Emergencies and Disasters that can occur in the county. We have responsibility for the Emergency Management, Search and Rescue, Metro Bomb Squad, Wildland Fire, Chemical Stockpile Emergency Preparedness Program (CSEPP), Aviation Support and Emergency Communications.
The Emergency Services Division relies on volunteers to accomplish many of our goals and objectives. We have four volunteer organizations with over 200+ volunteers that support the Sheriff’s Office. They consist of Search and Rescue, Sheriff Communications Auxiliary Team (SCAT), Sheriff’s Mounted Posse, and the Timpanogos Emergency Response TEAM (TERT).
Message from the Commander of the Emergency Services Division:
"It is both a pleasure and a privilege to serve as the Division Commander of the Emergency Services Division. The Emergency Services Division has some unique responsibilities within the Sheriff’s Office." - Lieutenant Dave Bennett
