The Utah County Fire Marshal has issued a ban on all fireworks use in all unincorporated areas of Utah County.
As of 06/28/12, the Utah County Fire Marshal has issued a ban on all fireworks use in all unincorporated areas of Utah County, including all canyons in Utah County. This ban will be in effect until further notice. This action is taken in conjunction with Utah State firework restrictions issued earlier today.
Attached, are the media releases issued by the State and Utah County Fire Marshals regarding their respective fireworks bans.
The Utah County Sheriff's Office is committed to aggressively enforcing all firework violations during this ban and will take appropriate law enforcement action as violations are encountered. Due to the current extreme fire danger conditions countywide, we ask that all citizens responsibly and safely conduct themselves as they enjoy the unincorporated and wilderness areas of Utah County.
