
Utah County Sheriff's Office Detectives have released the 911 call in conjunction with the Kay Mortensen murder.
The Utah County Sheriff's Office has released a recording of the 911 call in conjunction with the murder of Kay Mortensen. The recording is attached to this media release and may be downloaded from this website.
Roger Mortensen, a son of Kay Mortensen, and Pamela Mortensen, Roger's wife, were present at Kay's home around the time of his murder and indicated in the 911 call that they found Kay's lifeless body.
Roger and Pamela have provided inconsistent statements throughout this investigation. At this time, they are considered persons of interest. Requests to help investigators complete a composite sketch of the alleged suspect (s) have been refused by Roger and Pamela. They have become uncooperative with investigators.
The Utah County Sheriff's Office is committed to solving this crime and is still aggressively investigating all avenues related to this case as well as looking at other persons of interest. The family of Kay Mortensen continues to offer a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individuals responsible for his murder.
