A 33 year old Layton man was injured as he tried to holster a hand gun during private training in Fairfield. His injuries are not life threatening.
On July 2, at about 9:23, Deputies with the Utah County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a report of an accidental shooting at the Global One USA training facility in Fairfield, in Utah County. The victim in this case was injured while returning a handgun to its holster. The handgun discharged and a round struck the victim just above the right knee and exited just above his right ankle. The victim, a 33 year old Layton man, was taken by ambulance to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray. His injuries are not life threatening. The training was presented by Ryker Defense.
