- Check name. There cannot be another annexation by that same name in
the county.
- Check signatures on plat submitted. (10-2-408

- Check municipal boundaries to make sure the annexation is adjacent
to property already in the city. (10-2-404 (1) (b) (ii) UCA). Make certain
that the area annexed is not within another city's boundary.
- The annexation shall not create an unincorporated island or peninsula.(10-2-402

- Boundary adjustments. City boundaries between two or more adjacent
municipalities may be adjusted. Map only with surveyor and legislative
body and clerk signature and seal. (10-2-419

- Disconnection. Filing of district court order together with a transparent,
reproducible copy of map. Also articles of amendment to the articles
of incorporation. (10-2-507

- County Recorder shall assist the City Recorder or Town Clerk to see
if the annexation petition meets requirements of 10-2-403
