Community Resources
In addition to providing nutritious foods and education, WIC also provides referrals to other agencies. There are many resources in the community to help each family meet its needs. The programs mentioned below are located in Utah County or nearby.

Afterschool and Summer Program

Center for Service and Learning

Child Car Seat Program
http://www.unitedwayucv.org/org/programs/1418252.htmlClasses are free to the public. They last about one hour and are available twice a month in both English and Spanish at the Health and Justice Building in Provo. Classes can also be brought to groups of 15 people or more. Car Seat Checks are available most weekdays by appointment. These appointments take about 30 minutes. They will check for car seat recalls, install the seat, make sure your child fits correctly, and send you safely on your way. A donation of $10 is requested for Car Seat Checks; however, it is a donation, not a fee, so no one is turned away.
Child Care Resource and Referral Mountainland
http://www.unitedwayucv.org/org/programs/1418460.htmlProvides free referrals for parents to licensed childcare providers. Parents can call and will be asked a series of questions. A customized list of childcare providers will be created to meet their needs.
Child Services/Education

- Evaluation and assessment

- Technical assistance for day care providers
- Father, sibling, and grandparent support groups.
English as a Second Language
http://www.unitedwayucv.org/org/programs/1418086.htmlEnglish classes for non-English speakers in order to increase self-sufficiency. Classes are taught on six levels. Childcare is provided and citizenship test preparation is offered at all levels. Classes are offered at different locations and times to allow as many as possible to attend. Each class level lasts for 12 weeks.
Hispanic Family Services

Office Of Public Guardian
http://www.unitedwayucv.org/org/15318542.htmlProvides public services to incapacitated adults. A “guardian” helps the incapacitated person make decisions about medical treatment or everyday life. The goal of the service is to help the adult regain the ability to make their own decisions, so they will no longer need a guardian.

Welcome Baby
