School Health Information Immunization - Information on requirements, state clinics, etc... Communicable Diseases Scoliosis Screening - Done in Utah County in 7th, 8th grades, with parental permission. Positive findings referrals to parent and physician for followup. Vision Screening - Done in grades K, 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th or 8th grades, all special education classes. Referrals to parents and eye specialists. Lice Screening - As needed Hygiene Teaching - As requested by teachers Maturation Teaching - 5th and 6th grades Care Plans - For students with special health needs developed with parent, physician input. Nurses train school staff to safely care for students during school hours. Medication Management - Medication can be given during school when necessary and district policy is followed - doctor authorization forms available at each school.
