Baby Your Baby ProgramBaby Your Baby is a prenatal program for all pregnant women meeting certain income criteria. If requirements are met, she will be given a TEMPORARY card to cover outpatient, prenatal medical expenses, such as doctor visits, prenatal vitamins, lab work and ultrasound. Baby Your Baby is also an educational program with a prenatal nurse assigned to each client. The nurse is trained in prenatal education and will contact the client by telephone and through a home visit. The nurse will provide important literature, prenatal teaching and make community referrals. The nurse, who is an R.N., is available to answer questions regarding the pregnancy. The client will need to apply for Medicaid for continued coverage up to 60 days postpartum for the mother and one year for the baby. There is no cost for these programs. Questions? Call: 851-7033 |
