The Bureau of Environmental Health Services, under the jurisdiction of the Health Department's Division of Environmental Health, conducts consultations, education and training, investigations, inspections, and enforcement activities in a wide variety of health and environmental protection areas including but not limited to: body arts, drinking water protection, property environmental assessments, food service protection, hazardous incident response, housing and transient facilities issues, lead based paint hazards, swimming pools and spas, institutions and child care facility inspections, waste water and sewage treatment, indoor clean air act enforcement, and nuisance complaints.
