FOOD HANDLERS CLASSESThe Utah County Health Department offers classes in English every Tuesday*, except where noted, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am and 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Classes are held in Room #2500 of the Utah County Health and Justice Building, 151 South University Avenue, Provo, Utah.
RENEWALS Renewals can be obtained at the Division of Environmental Health, Suite 2600, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. for a fee of $15.00. If your permit has expired, you may retake the class or pass a test to demonstrate the necessary knowledge, if it has been less than a year of expiration. COPIES A duplicate of your food handler permit can be obtained at the same above location for a fee of $5.00. NOTICE TO EMPLOYERS Please post this announcement in a conspicuous place and arrange for all to attend who do not currently have permits. If you have any questions, please call the Health Department at 851-7525. REGULATIONS GOVERNING FOOD HANDLERS PERMITS R392-100 : Food Service Sanitation Rule requires that any individual working in a food establishment must have a valid food handler's permit. Utah County food handler's permits are valid for two years. The Utah County Health Department does offer on-site food handler training.
