Gary was born and raised in the San Joaquin Valley in California. He excelled in sports and academics in high school and was a presidential scholar at the College of the Sequoias. Gary served a mission for his church to Germany and upon his return accepted a scholarship to BYU. There he met and married Molly Stansfield of Springville, Utah. They have been happily married for over 38 years. Gary and Molly boast 6 children (4 more added by marriage), and 10 grandchildren.
Gary graduated from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles, California. He and Molly returned to Utah County where they put down permanent roots and Gary began to practice law. Gary went to work for the Utah County Attorney's Office in the Civil Division and later transferred to the Criminal Division where he became a major felony prosecutor. In the early 1980's Gary returned to the private practice of law and in 1983 ran and was elected Utah County Commissioner. He retired from the County Commission in 1989 and returned to private law practice until 2006 when he again ran, and was again elected to the Utah County Commission.

Commissioner Steve White has a long history of community service and leadership in Utah County. He served from 1998 to 2002 on the Utah County Planning Commission, where he was Chairman in 2001 and 2002. He has also served as Chairman of the Utah Taxpayers Association, 2000-2001; a member of the Utah Better Business Bureau Board of Directors, 1998-1999; Chairman of the Case Management Committee, Private Industry Council, LLC/Department of Workforce Services, 1995-1997; Provo City Chair, Provo-Orem Chamber of Commerce Government Review Committee, 1996-1997; and a member of Board of Directors, Provo-Orem Chamber of Commerce, 1993-1994. He was elected Utah County Commissioner in 2002, and he served as Commission Chair for 2004 and Vice-Chair in 2003 and 2006..
Steve was Vice President/General Manager of Office Essentials from 1990-2001. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1967 to 1971, and in the U.S. Navy Reserve from 1974 to 1997. He received an Honorable Discharge and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and the Antarctic Service Medal. He studied at San Jose City College and Brigham Young University from 1974 to 1978.
Steve is married to the former Sandra L. Sainsbury, and they are the parents of four sons.

Commissioner Larry Ellertson was raised in Mona, Utah. He graduated from Southern Utah State College in 1972 with a B.S. Degree in Accounting, and worked as a Certified Public Accountant for Haskins and Sells Certified Public Accountants in Phoenix, Arizona. In 1977 he began working for Utah Power and Light as an internal auditor. He held many positions with Utah Power and Light including that of Division Controller, Director of Revenue Accounting, Region Customer Service Manager, Area Manager, and General Business Manager for Utah Power, prior to retiring in 2001.
In November of 1996 he was elected to serve as Mayor of Lindon City and served in that position until January 2005 when he was elected to the Utah County Commission. His recent business involvements include serving as Vice President of United Way of Utah County, as well as Project Management and Consulting Services.
Commissioner Ellertson has served in many civic positions including: 2006 Chairman of the, President & board member of Utah League of Cities & Towns, Chairman of the Provo/Orem Chamber of Commerce, Chairman and board member of United Way of Utah County, Chairman of Mountainlands Association of Governments, Rotary Club President, Chairman of the Utah Citizen Corps Council, Chairman of the Edison Electric Institute Customer Service Committee, a member of the Utah County Board of Health, board member of the Utah Commission on Volunteers and board member of the Division of Workforce Services Executive Committee.
He received the Southern Utah State College Distinguished Alumni Business Award in 1997 and was the recipient of Utah Lt. Governor`s Civic Volunteer of the Year Award in 2000. He has served as a Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America in addition to various ecclesiastical callings and service opportunities in the community.
Commissioner Ellertson and his wife Linda (Christiansen) are the parents of five children and seven grandchildren.
